I first met Brittanie a little over a year ago while I was in Texas for a photography conference. She had already booked me prior to that trip, but we happened to be in the same area and decided to meet up for coffee to talk through all the wedding details. From the moment we sat down, I knew this was going to be more than just a client relationship. Brittanie has the sweetest spirit, a genuine kindness that you don’t just see, you feel. She loves people deeply and serves them so well, and that was evident in every interaction she had throughout the entire wedding day.

This was a wedding we had been looking forward to for a long time. We absolutely love to travel, and getting to combine that with photography always makes it even more meaningful. When Brittanie told me they would be getting married at The Grand Ivory, I was beyond excited. It’s a venue I’ve admired for years one I’ve seen countless times online and saved for “one day.” And thanks to Brittanie, that “one day” finally came true.

And then there’s Eric. One of the most easygoing, grounded, and effortlessly cool grooms I’ve ever had the chance to work with. He has that kind of presence that immediately puts you at ease the kind of guy who doesn’t need to say much to make you feel comfortable. But behind that calm exterior was a groom who was counting down every moment to see his bride.

Now, I have to talk about the weather… because all week long, it kept us on our toes. I was checking forecasts constantly rain chances going up, then down, then right back up again. The morning of the wedding greeted us with a bit of rain and cloudy skies that lingered throughout the day. And to add to it, Texas decided to surprise us with a chill in the air.
But just after the ceremony… everything shifted.

The clouds parted, and we were gifted the most beautiful sunshine. Soft, golden light began to filter through the trees, reflecting across the pond in the most dreamy, glowy way just in time for bride and groom portraits. It was one of those moments you simply can’t plan, only hope for. And it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.
The entire day flowed so effortlessly. The timeline fell into place beautifully, allowing Brittanie and Eric to be fully present in every moment. Watching the way they love each other so genuine, so wholehearted was something truly special. They’ve surrounded themselves with people who not only support them, but deeply celebrate them, and that kind of love filled every part of the day.

Eric had been a bundle of nerves leading up to the ceremony, eagerly anticipating the moment he would finally see Brittanie. And when that moment came… it was everything. Watching him see his bride walk down the aisle, overwhelmed with emotion, was one of the most beautiful parts of the day. Brittanie looked absolutely stunning, and the way he looked at her said it all.

These are the kinds of days that remind me why I love what I do so much.

Brittanie and Eric, thank you for trusting me, for welcoming me in, and for allowing me to be a small part of such a meaningful chapter in your lives.

If you’re searching for a wedding venue in the Shoals area that offers clean lines, romantic charm, and timeless beauty, let me introduce you to Rhodes Landing. This stunning, modern wedding venue is one of the newest gems in Florence, Alabama, and I recently had the absolute honor of photographing a there.

This day was extra special. I had the privilege of photographing Destiny Quinn and Jordan Tamu, a former Ole Miss quarterback and current DC Defenders player in the UFL. These two are just as beautiful inside as they are out, and this day was full of love, laughter, and joy even with a surprise rainstorm halfway through the day!

We started the morning under clear, sunny skies, but a strong midday storm rolled through. Thankfully, Rhodes Landing offers both indoor and outdoor options, so we were able to quickly shift indoors without missing a beat. Once the rain passed, we stepped right back out and finished with the most romantic portraits soft lighting, misty skies, and all the magic you could ask for.

Destiny’s gown was the perfect blend of elegance and modern flair, while Jordan looked incredibly sharp in his tailored suit. Every detail, from the floral touches to the finishing accessories, was so thoughtfully put together.
Rhodes Landing isn’t just beautiful it’s conveniently located in Florence, Alabama, putting it just over an hour from Huntsville, Alabama and a short drive from Nashville, Tennessee. It’s the perfect central location for couples bringing in guests from across the Southeast. As a Shoals wedding photographer, I can confidently say this venue is an incredible addition to the area’s wedding scene. If you’re a bride searching for a modern yet timeless wedding experience in Florence or Huntsville, Rhodes Landing is a must-see.
Let’s chat! I specialize in creating romantic, timeless wedding portraits that feel as real as the love you share. Whether you’re planning a wedding in the Shoals or saying “I do” in Huntsville or Nashville, I’d love to help capture your story.

As a Florence Wedding Photographer, I have the joy of capturing love stories that reflect not only the connection between two people but also the energy that surrounds them. Julia and Carter’s wedding was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I do what I do.
From the moment we met during their engagement session, I knew their wedding day would be filled with intention, joy, and deep love. And even with a bit of unexpected North Alabama weather wind, rain, and a quick shift to an indoor ceremony and reception this couple never missed a beat.
Julia and Carter’s grace under pressure was truly inspiring. Rainy wedding days can throw off even the most well-planned events, but these two embraced it all. We even snuck out for a few portraits in the rain, and those may be some of my favorite images from the entire day. That’s what timeless wedding photography is all about capturing the real, the emotional, and the in-between moments that make a wedding day unforgettable.
Surrounded by family, friends, and the most fun bridal party, their day was nothing short of magical. The laughter never stopped, and neither did the love.

Take a little peek into this beautiful celebration at Robert Trent Jones, one of the most picturesque venues in North Alabama weddings. From the carefully chosen details to the spontaneous dance floor energy, this was a day to remember.
